Hundred days of creating art in 2019
#the100dayproject is a free art project that takes place online.
Every spring, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of exploring their creativity.
At the beginning of April 2019 I saw the first posts appear on Instagram and I decided to become one of these thousands.
Tiny dots
I named my own contribution #100daysoftinydots because, well, the project had to last a hundred days and my work usually consists of lots of tiny dots.
I decided to create a small work every day, like mini canvases, magnets and cards. And maybe once in a while a sketch or an update of a larger work.
A little bit too ambitious
But after a few days of creating, photographing and posting new work, I had to admit my ambitions were too high.
In order to reduce the pressure for myself, I changed my plans. I would make a hundred works, just not in a hundred days.

Day 1/100 of #the100dayproject and I already saw lots of inspiring posts, so I decided to give it a try as well.

My theme will be a hundred days of tiny dots and I want to try to make a little work of tiny dots each day. This can be a mini painting, a magnet or a handmade card. I will be using acrylic paint, glitter and acrylic markers, on paper, canvas and canvas board. #100daysoftinydots

I started to work on four different pieces today and this is the one I finished. It feels a bit like cheating, but I’ve decided it’s just multi tasking because of the drying time of the bigger dots.😇
I’m also starting to wonder where I will leave all the little paintings with tiny dots, assuming I will make it to 100... List them on Etsy? Put them on my own site that I’m building right now?

Day 9/100 of my #100daysoftinydots project was supposed to go up on Wednesday. But hey, life happened. And life probably and hopefully will be happening a lot more in the coming 91 days so I’ve decided not to be so hard on myself. I’ll post because I think my work of tiny dots is ready, not because it’s the next day. Its my journey anyway.
